The role of the Saskatchewan Archives is to acquire and preserve records essential for protection of rights, individual and collective. Through acquisition, preservation, and provision of access to official records, the Archives enables the Government of Saskatchewan to fulfill its public trust. This annual report first reviews the history of the Archives and describes its role, mission, vision, and organizational structure. It then presents a summary of activities for each unit (Appraisal and Acquisitions, Information Management, Legislative Compliance and Access, Collection Management and Preservation, Records Processing, Reference & Outreach, Digital Records, Corporate Services, and Information Technology) during the year ended March 31, 2014. Audited financial statements for this period are also included. Images in this report have a transportation theme.
