Contains a roll of the officers and men on active service in the Riel rebellion of 1885, and rolls of several of the volunteer companies. The Battalion was known as the Halifax Volunteer Battalion of Rifles from 1860 to 1869 and as the 63rd Battalion of Rifles from 1869 to 1900.
