Memorialist's father-in-law did in the year 1776 obtain a license to occupy a small island at Prospect Harbour, known by the name of Calatian Island, on which he (Mr. Cody) expended some 700 pounds. Memorialist has now the maintenance of Mr Cody's widow and grandson and requests in his own name a grant of said island.
