Att a Council held by order and at the place aforesaid on friday the 28th Day of Septemr 1733

Alexander Le Borgne sieur De Belisle took ye oath and Claimes the Priviledge of Seignior
|
His Honour acquainted the Board that [371] that Alexander Le Borgne Sieur de Belisle who was Come to take the oaths of Allegiance, had presented him with a Petition praying that he maybe Restored to the Seigniority of this Province and the priviledges Enjoyed by his Deceas'd ffather, and the oath being administratd to him in Council, the prayer of his petition was then taken into Consideration; and the Board were of opinion that the State of his Case, with Copy of his other papers be transmitted home, Conformable to a letter from the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners for Trade and Plantations Dated the 2d Novr 1732, and the prayer of his Said Petition

the Priviledge of Cutting firewood and Hay Granted to be Cut off such Lands as belong to his Majesty at Menis

And as to his Demand of land not as yet Granted at Mines, it is agreed, That part, at least, of Such lands may be Granted to him (Seeing he had taken the Oath) Conformable to his Majestys Instructions. And as to his Demand for Cutting Hay and Wood &c, for his immediate Subsistance, He Should be permitted to Cut Both, fire Wood and Hay off his Majestys lands not as yet Granted, and Enjoy all the other priviledges as the other Inhabitants of [372] of Mines, till farther orders; and that a Certifycate be Given him, that he has taken the oaths

Then was Read a Petition from Thomas Rawden, Alexr Campbell, David Thomas, and Thomas Harwood Complaining of Major Henry Cope for not paying them their Wages, According to Agreement, for working at the Coaliary, praying that Justice may be done them in that Respect; As Also that they may be paid the Losses they Suffered there through the Neglect of the Company, in being Robbed by the Indians,
