Honble Sr In Obedience to Your Reference To Us Upon Prudane Robichaux's Memo in Relation to a Contract for Some Land Bougt of his Brother Charles Cadet Catherine Mention'd) and Afterwards Bought by Nicholas Gotie from the Children of said Cadet, We have Examined the Same, And find, by, all the papers that were Laid Before Us, and What was Alleged by the Partys On Both Sides That said Charles Cadet had no Power to Sell Said Land Being Only A Tutor and Guardian to his Said Children Then Minors: & Whereas The Said pretended Contract is Only a Private Act Passed Between the two Brothers Without Any Witnesses Or Content to the Children, Who Being the Apparent Heirs By Virtue of their Deceas'd Mother, And Not by their father, And Being Now of Age; We Are of Oppinion That the Deed of Sale Which they have Sign'd and Deliver'd to the Aforesd Gotie Is Much Preferable to that Sign'd by their father In favour of his Said Brother Prudane As Aforesaid And We Are Sr
