desired a dayes time to consider & answer. That his Excellency had just receiu'd the same & directed to be put in writeing by the Interpreter, which was deliverd in.

Read & Advised on. [16] Agreed & Orderd That an answer thereto Article by article be drawn up by a Committee of Council That the Hon:.ble Liev.t Governor, Major Lawrence Armstrong, Major Paul Mascarene & John Adams Esq be the said Comittee. It is further advised it would be for his Majestys service that there be a present made to said Indians at their being dismist. — That the said Presents Charges of sending for them, maintaining them here, and returning them back to S.t Johns River be at the Goverment's Costs.
