Order to be published at Shickanecto; And to Shew his Dislike to the Irregular proceedings of Said Romish Priests, not      open their Letters but to Returne them and to Send them Word That if' they did Not Immediately Depart this Province, they Should Answer the Same at his Utmost Peril

     Resolved & Agreed That a Proclamation upon the first of Said two Minutes bearing date the 5th of ffebroary 1723/4 be published both here and in these othere parts of the Government for an Advertisement to these Romish Priests of their Danger

     Agreed that Major Paul Mascarene and John Adams Esq Draw up and prepare the Same

     At a Council held at the Honourable L.t Governour John Doucett's house in his Majestys Garrison of Annapolis Royall on Tewsday the 3.d of November 1724

     The Honourable L.t Governour laid before the Board [105] Board a Letter which he had Received from the Honourable William Dummer Esqe.e L.t Goveruour of New England wherein he Expected, towards the Latter End of October or the beginning of November a Negotiation for a general Peace with the Indians and therefore Desired to lett him know what Demands Should be thought proper to be made in behalf of this Government

     Which being Considered the Board Agreed That the Honourable L.t Governour Should in the Name and behalf of his Majesty Send the following Articles
