in Law to St Castine of Penobscutt who Daily practised that Trade; and That the said Bently of Charlestown threatned to meet with him the Said Peter Blin this fall at St Johns River and their to feight him

Whereupon his Honour the Lt Governor proposing to give him An Order to take him or Any Other Trader, be thereof Accepted, And the Board Agreed that His Honour Should Authorize and Impower him, in the Same Manner As Mr Cottnam, for his so doing; And that his Honour Should order Mr John Hamilton the Deputy Collector And Naval Officer to go along with him up the Bay to make such Seizurs as the Case may Require, And thereby to Order All Officers Civil and Military And all Others his Majestys Subjects to be aiding and Assisting to Mr Hamilton in the Lawfull Execution of his Duty

The last years Deputies of the French Inhabitants of [397] Of this River came & Introduced to the Governor and Council the New Elected for the Service of this Ensuing Year for his Honrs Approbation, Who having laid before the Board the Inhabitants Report of their due Election, and a list of the ffamilies of their Respective Districts; Which being read, His Honour was pleased to Approve of the Inhabitants Choice, & then Recommended to them the Duty of their Office
