Letter, Joseph Wheelock, JP, Bridgetown, to David Easson

J.B. Gidney claims to have routinely mailed Easson issues of the Examiner (newspaper), April to November 1862. The subscription was paid in full up to the first of April; subsequently the newspaper was never stopped or returned by Easson.           Bridgetown 26th August 1866
Mr David Easson
          Sir
          Mr JB Gidney came and
proved that he mailed to you the Examiner
paper from the 1 April 1862 until the 27th
of November of the same year and that the
money paid was in full up to 1st of April
that the paper was not ordered stopped and
none was ever returned to him therefore
I have entered up a judgement for the debt &
costs $2.75 Mr Gidney Says if that he can be con -
vinced of a mistake he will rectify it.
