Jonathan Belcher Esquire Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief in and over His Majesty's Province of Nova Scotia or Acadie &c. &c. &c.
To Isaac Deschamps Esq. &
Henry Denny Denson Esq.
Whereas it is judged expedient to make the Road leading from Fort Edward to Fort Sackville fit for Carriages. I do therefore by virtue of the power and authority to me given and granted by His Majesty, constitute and appoint you the said Isaac Deschamps and Henry Denny Denson joint surveyors of the said road leading from Fort Edward to Fort Sackville for ordering of and directing every thing for the purposes of a carriage road according to such instructions as you shall from time to time receive. And for so doing this shall be your warrant. --
Given under my hand and seal at Halifax this twenty seventh day of September 1762. --
