"Old Church Grand Pré"

The Covenanter Church, Grand Pré, is an example of an early Protestant meeting house in Nova Scotia which closely resembles a dwelling house with the main entrance centered along the length of the building. When the church was constructed in 1804, the exterior resembled a typical Georgian house and did not have any distinguishing characteristic to identify it as a church. The steeple was added in 1818.
