Business Papers. This folder contains the Chipman Business Papers for 1856 from the store in Cornwallis. The contents are invoices and letters regarding the purchases and sales of goods. The companies deal in various goods including dry goods, metal products, hardware, food stuffs, wooden ware, drugs, textiles, cutlery, carriage and trunk trimmings,and teas. Included are shipped bills and accounts owning. Many do not state the nature of the cargo. The goods come from numerous suppliers in Boston, New York, London and other parts of B.N.A. They are all dated 1856. This invoice is from Thomas Turner & Co., Sheffield, England, 8 April 1856.
