Extraordinary sandstone monument which is not Acadian (we did not see any other one like this) with the instruments of the crucifixion — Christ on the cross surrounded by a ladder, a sponge, a hammer and a spear — all carved in a medallion — médaillon — Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth Power wife of Patrick Power who departed this ... life March 29 1847 aged 46 years Requiescant in pace. Amen. [the dates were added as if at a later date by hand]
