McLennan (McLealon), Finley – 1812 – Cape Breton

Petition to Nepean: Petitioner has lately come to Cape Breton from Manchester, N.S. where he has lived the past ten years. He asks lot 27 on the east side of the River Inhabitants. He has a wife and five children. Report of Crawley to Smyth: 270 acres, lot 27, east side of River Inhabitants. Plan. Note: A warrant of survey for lot 27 was made in 1809 for Donald Cameron, but the man is not known at this office. Note: John Cameron, said to be the father of Donald, occupies 500 acres at Judique.
