Petition to Jeffery: Petitioner, a native of Scotland, is married and has two children. He is settled at River Denys where he purchased land from Hugh Stewart who deposited the fees for a grant. Stewart was lost at sea before the grant was issued so petitioner asks the grant in his own name.
