McRitchie, Murdoch and others. – 1829 – Cape Breton
Petition to Kempt: Petitioners, natives of Scotland, ask titles to their lands on the south side of St. Patrick's Channel. Murdoch McRitchie, age 32, is married and has one child. He has lived two years on lot 2. [Petition withdrawn] John McRitchie, age 60, is married and has five children. He has lived two years on lot 15. He asks a wider frontage. Murdoch Smith, age 47, is married and has six children. He has lived three years on lot 16. Duncan Ferguson, age 28, married, has lived two years on lot 30, south side of Whycocomah Narrows. Malcolm Campbell, age 26, single, has been four years on lot 15, north side of Whykokomagh Basin. Note: approved.
