Petition to Ainslie: Three years ago petitioner obtained a licence to occupy Scatari Island. He has found the place unsuitable for his purposes and resigns the licence. In 1811 he obtained a reservation of 10,000 acres on St. George's Channel on condition of settling a colony of Protestants on it. The colony is now in a flourishing state. He asks a grant of a lot at the Head of St. George's Channel, to be called "Crieff". Report of Crawley to Crowdy: Lot 55, 500 acres on the western shore, north of the Gut of Canso. Plan.
