Harry Piers, Report of the Provincial Museum and Science Library, 1934-35, pp. 43-44, notes that this log house was about 75 feet east of the Ternan House (Scott Manor House), Bedford.
The log house was built of heavy squared timber, dovetailed at the corners, and measured only 18 feet by 12 feet and 9 inches. It was five feet to the eaves of the pitch of the roof. The Ternan family told Piers it is reputed to be the first house on the property.
