903. [Draft of] letter from Gideon White to his agents Favell & Bousfield. Had he known about "the payment made by Sewell and Chandler (in April) in due time I wold have doubled that sum in speculation to the U States and in this province - but I was not fond of drawing on you knowing my Bank Stock must Answer - and the fact is that my last Bill, one in favour of Samuel Davenport for one Hundred Pounds - and the Other in favour of James Ewing for fifty pounds - was for the Speculation of Ton Timber by which I more than made in this Province 75 P C without shipping a Single Ton but sold it on the spt."
