865. Mrs. Prescott to Mrs. Gideon White. She has delayed writing because "the communication between this & Shelburne is so very precarious that I scarce cou'd expect a letter to get there, we see the Halifax papers every week, and I have never seen an account of a Vessel enter'd from Shelburne since the time of our arrival, until now...We have a pleasant little society here, and a charming Country." She is going to Halifax and would be glad to do any errands for Mrs. White. Holograph.
