Buskirk the conversation we had in Windsor, and I know it will give you pleasure to serve my Friend the Major, and I have no doubt but that Sir John will appoint the Major on your and the Attorney General's request. I am informed that a number of Characters will solicit his Excellency for that Office - certainly a promise will now be Sacred.'' [Draft].
