776. Circular letter from the Provincial Secretary, Benning Wentworth, to the magistrates of Shelburne County, rebuking them in the Lt.-Governor's name for making no effort to bring Enoch Stanwood to justice, and requiring proofs that they used their "best endeavours to apprehend him pursuant to the command contained in the King's Proclamation for that purpose." The Governor will remove all magistrates from whom such proofs are not forthcoming. Autograph.
