311. Thomas Millidge to Chas. Whitworth, enclosing copy of letter from Nathaniel Whitworth and receipt for sum paid on Millidge's account.  Details as to the rest of his debt. "…the great Expence of my family and having a house to build for a covering for them has drained me Intirely of Cash at this time I hope that I shall have it in my power in two months to Draw a bill on Halifax for the amount of one hundred Dollars which I shall Emediately send you Shoud. that fail as soon as the half pay becomes due in December next I shall Draw a bill for the whole amount of what I owe your brother on David Thomas Esq. who is my agent in London. Your Handbills are set up in divers places here and shall have them also set up in Annapolis. I wish you woud. write me what prospects you have Shelburne and what kind of a Country it is as I hear the most dismal accounts of the place am told the land is most Intolerable bad and Scarcely fit for Cultivation if this is true I am afraid it will prove of the most pernicious Consequences to many of the poor Loyalists who have settled there."
