154. [Draft of] letter from Gideon White to Col. Odell. His arrival from Charlestown with recruits. Pleasing prospect of getting men in Jamaica from among American prisoners. Asks for directions concerning Odell's soldiers, who are said to be doing duty in Bermuda against their wills. Wants his commission and description of uniform forwarded and, his subsistence drawn and kept. Other business matters. No news except the overtures of peace "which does not seem to be relished by the army of Loyalists - nor is it thought to take place yet as the demands Mr. Franklin &c. &c. make cannot be Granted..."
