Samuel Davis, Corresponding Sec'y of the Pilgrim Society, to Gideon White, informing him that he has been elected on honorary member of the Pilgrim Society, which was incorporated in January, 1820. "To enroll the name of a descendant of the first born child of New England among the first honorary members is among the first pleasing duties of the recording officers...I have peculiar pleasure in making this communication..."
