1085. 1. John Van Horne to Gideon White, asking him to certify that he knew the writer's father, Gabriel Van Horne, as an officer in the 4th battalion of N.J. Volunteers, and to obtain a similar certificate from Jacob Vanbuskirk.  These certificates are necessary before Van Horne can write the Lt.-Governor and petition for his father's half-pay.
