Petition from Richard Preston and others concerning the African Baptist Church
Leaders of the black community in Halifax, including Richard Preston and Prince William Sport, petition for a sum of money to help complete construction of the African Baptist Church on Cornwallis Street. The House of Assembly voted £25 but the Council vetoed the grant.
