La goélette franche à trois mâts Frederick P. Elkin

Schooner Frederick P. Elkin, built at Cape d'Or, NS, 1919. Originally named A.O. Seaman, she was owned by R.C. Elkin & Son, Saint John, NB until she was sold to owners in Barbados about 1945. She was still trading in September 1948 between Barbados and Nassau (sugar) and Norfolk to Barbados (coal). She was commanded by Capt. Archibald Croft of Lunenburg, and was the last survivor of her type.
