Hon. Michael Wallace Commissioner of Sable Island Boston May 24th 1834
Dear Sir
I herewith enclose you the Power of Attorney of Thomas Cummings Steward of the late Ship [Courser?] last on Sable Island in October last in my favor and the present is particularly to authorise you in my stead to receive whatever may be coming to said Cummings from the effects saved from said Ship which at your early convenience you will please remit to my [illegible] and this Letter you will please consider as your authority for all you may do relative to this business on the behalf of said Cummings
