I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your note of yesterdays date and to thank you for the information conveyed in it.

There are no means at my disposal for getting the Buoy in question from Sable Island to Halifax & therefore I beg to inquire whether you would permit a vessel in the Employ of the Provincial Government, when visiting the Island to embark
