can, but the early frost blighted so many of them that we have a tedious job.

Our potatoes turned out much better than I expected, among all the stations we have upwards of 100 barrels, they are small sized but sound and well favoured, though not fully ripe.

27th We are getting the supplies landed and have a pretty rough time of it. I should keep the "Masconnomets" stores and give the Captain an order on you for the payment. Please send the remainder of Supplies by return of Daring.

I have shipped 15 barrels of cranberries for sale and are getting the Schooners materials off at the same time.

I will ^collect as many berries as possible by return of cutter.

I think the horse sent on last year should have further trial before we condemn him.

We only caught 3 mackerel this season, the vessels that were here [done?] nothing and all left before the middle of Sep.r
