Sable Island 7th Oct 1854

Dear Sir

The Daring has just now called. I have nothing new to communicate, further than we have had the misfortune to lose our [Baby? Babe?]. he died on the 3rd of Sep.r from a severe attack of dysentery.

I shall expect the Daring to return immediately with our winter supplies.
The Mason has built two chimneys and goes off by this conveyance. Martin Cly leaves today. I send off a boat found on the South beach on the 4th of Sep.r
