Sable Island 20th August 1854

Dear Sir

We arrived here this morning and found all well, and everything looking well.

I have shipped the two horses as you requested. also 3 Bales Corks, a Lot of Corkwood and a cask of Spirits of Turpentine found drifted onshore on the Island. I have kept 5 gallons of the Spirits of Turpentine for our own use. I have nothing particular to mention, our men report a ship to have been ashore on the N E bar on the 5th Instant, and got off again without assistance.

I shall expect the Daring with such of our winter supplies as I left a list of, about the first of October.

I am Dear Sir
Your Obedient Servant
M.D. McKenna
