Provincetown July 24th 1853

Gents

I recd a Letter from you this Day. and in answer would say that Mr Russell said yesterday for Sable Island with Orders to take 100 Hourses (if the vessel can bring as many) and settle with Mr M. C Keney [sic] for the same as wee talked. the vessell would have gone sooner if I had have recd your Order from you to the Superintendent at Halifax as wee talked.
