Commissioner at this Port, I have succeeded in having the property abstracted from the wreck of the "Amazon" by the Sch.r Juvenile (which has arrived at Plymouth) placed in charge of the Collector of Customs at that Port, to abide whatever action if any be advisable to pursue hereafter. This is all I have been able to do so far, but I believe the property to be perfectly safe in charge of the Collector of Customs at Plymouth and moreover the owners of the vessel have made known to me that [^they have] no desire to evade
