as during the time the men were working at her, he had a great deal of extra work to perform, being the only man left at the principal Station, and on several occasions he had to go the rounds on foot. We shall want a competent person to take charge of the Cattle as Brennan, who was one of our best Boatman, wishes to resume his original station and he will be required as a boatman in the place of Andrew [Monash? Morrach?].

Two Freight Boats will also be wanted before the fall as those in present use are a good deal wrecked and strained, perhaps it would be better to send a builder, on with the materials and have the boats built on the Island as I could then better describe the kind of boat most suited for our purposes.

With respect to the Horses on the Island, I cannot account for the fact, that at present there are none such as there must have been some years ago if I can judge from the Superior size of the old Horses that were broken in during Captain Darby's time. there are certainly at present some very promising Foals but it is impossible to say how they may
