further saith that Mr. Darby's whole conduct toward the passengers was humane and benevolent also entitles him to their approbation and gratitude.
Deponent further saith that about five or six days ago, one of the Sailors by the name of William Hill asked Deponent for a handkerchief which he had received at Sable Island so that he might exhibit it against Mr. Darby, that Deponent refused alleging that the only handkerchief he had obtained there was given to him with some biscuits tied in it by the son of Mr Darby for Sea stores and was old and of little value, that the reason biscuits was given Deponent was because having lived Mr. Darby's house no regular ration had been weighed to him as to the other passengers
