Deponent was permitted to go into any room in the house and has frequently been through the outhouses and never saw any merchandize deposited there and does not believe that any could have been concealed from him with the privilege he possessed of access to all the [word?] and outhouses

That deponent assisted in landing the cargo from the Lancaster, that the Captain set the Brig on fire to enable them to remove the cargo and one or more of the casks of whiskey were burned, Deponent saw one with a hole the size of his hat in it and was informed that the liquor it contained was spoiled having been mixed with Salt water... That Deponent assist4ed in removing the Sails saved from the Lancaster and shipping them on board of the Maria and all the Sails which were saved Deponent verily believes were sent to Halifax - Deponent
