Stephen Binney of Halifax Merchant Hath
made ordained authorised substituted and appointed
and by these Presents Doth make ordain authorise
substitute and appoint and in the stead and place of
him the said John Miles Junior put and despite the
said Stephen Binney to be the true and lawful Attorney
Agent and Substitute of him the said John Miles Junior
as Master as aforesaid for the purpose of receiving
all such property and materials saved from the said
Brig as shall or may be brought from the said
Island of Sable to Halifax and the person of [luin?] the
said John Miles Junior as Master as aforesaid to
represent before the Commissioners aforesaid or other
persons whomsoever and then and there on behalf
of the said John Miles Junior and the owners under
writers or others whom it may concern to adjust
all claims for Salvage on the said Property and
Materials or any part thereof and for this purpose
to execute any Bond Deed or other writing whatsoever
which shall or may be necessary _ And further
to do transact negotiate settle and adjust all matters
and things whatsoever in or relating to the Premise
which be the said John Miles Junior in his Capacity
of Master could or might do if personally present _
or as shall or may be necessary or expedient_
And to have hold and retain all such property
and Materials or to sell and dispose of the same
in such way and manner as shall appear most
for the benefit and advantage of the Parties interested
And further to perform & execute all or
any other act deed matter or thing whatsoever which
shall or may be requisite in the Premises even if the
[Service?] of this Power of Attorney should not expressly
provide for the same; it being the intention of the said
