St John N.B. 15th June 1836

Sir

We are indebted to you for forwarding to us a letter from Cap.n Miles, late master of our brig Lancaster, informing us of the wreck of that vessel at Sable Island on the 22 May last.

Referring you to a letter of this date from our mutual friend John Robertson Esq.r, introducing us to your correspondence, [word?] would by the favor of you to render to Cap.t Miles such assistance as he may require and to give us the benefit of your business experience and attention to our interests in this unfortunate affair.

If the proceeds of the sale of the part cargo saved should not pay all the necessary disbursements in Halifax


Relating to the Brig Lancaster wrecked in Isle of Sable.
