Halifax 11th June 1836

Sir

There being at present on the Isle of Sable a large number of Emigrants late passengers on the Brig Lancaster from Dublin bound to New York wrecked there on the 21st Ult.o whose maintenance is now at the expence of the Province and it being necessary that they be removed forthwith,

We beg to request the favor that you will represent the same to His Excellency the Lieut. Governor and if H M Bouy Boat which the Commissioners have understood has been kindly tender'd by Vice Admiral Sir Peter Halkett could be despatched forthwith
