Halifax 15th August 1836

Sir

I have the honor to enclose by direction of the Commissioners of Sable Island for the information of His Excellency the Lieut Governor the affidavit of [blank space] being further evidence obtained in the investigation of charges brought against Mr Joseph Darby the Superintendant of the Establishment. –

The Commissioners being of opinion that the proof already elicited in this enquiry and submitted to His Excellency is sufficient to exculpate Mr. Darby from any charges of fraud, and still feeling confidence in him are
desirous
