Custom House Halifax
27th January 1836

The salvors of Goods saved from the wreck of the Eagle having called on me to adjust the salvage due thereon and its being necessary that it and other charges should be finally arranged so that the nett proceeds may become available for tohe owners--
I hereby give you notice that I shall in conjunction with them proceed to nominate and appoint Justices of the peace for that purpose at the Exchange in Halifax on Wednesday the Tenth February next at Eleven OClock in the forenoon, in conformity with the enactments and requisitions of the 41 Geo 3 Cap 16 and that I give you this notice having been informed that you claim to be interested in such proceeds so that you may prove your Rights by nominating a Justice of the Peace agreeably to said statute to act for you.
