with regard to the money in McMortshornes [?] hands I conceived that as it would be about £50- at that time I thought that by his putting it in the Bank for me this year, It would be the only money I had there in my own name, I have not forgot, that you will not receive more than £50 from any one person nor I did not intend to infringe upon your Rules, When I gave Mr. Wallace a Power to Pay into your hands £50. I intended it to be out of this Years Wages, which would not be due until the end of the year, consequently I could not Demand it, or order it to be paid any way until next Year, but if he has paid into your Hands [?] £50- in advance for me, I most humbly thank Him and it will add to the many obligations I [?] under to that worthy Gentleman, from which you will see, that I did not know there was anything to prevent your Receiving Money in my [name?] for the Present year, but as it is so, Please to Receive £30, in Mrs. Mary Darby's name, and the remainder in the name of Mary Jane Darby as you have suggested.
