Sable Island, Dec 12th 1802

Dear Sir

I Rec'd your much Respected Letter of the 5th [?], and Remark what you say Respecting the Vessel, and the excellent Quotation you have made, I would not stand on 20 or 30 pounds, if the offer was good, I would pay any Person Five Pounds to take care of this untill the first of [April?] if she could be Laid up in a Secure Place, as I know she would sell better in the Spring, than at this Season of the year, but I leave it to yourself to do the best you can for me, and the Larger sum you can get, the Larger your own Commission, Bearing in mind to have all demands against the Vessel Settled up to the end of this Year, and when she is Sold to give her Inventory with all that pertains to her, except a Large Chain Cable and Anchor, [?] and a Cooking Stove that is in the Cabin, which They you will Sell separate, as the Vessel has a small Chain and Anchor besides,
