further agree and promise to give their personal attendance at and assistance in transporting and removing the said shingles from the place or places where they may be manufactured to the place or places where they may be shipped at the said Island.
The said Edward Wallace on his part agrees to pay to the said Parties of the other part Six Shillings Currency for each and every Thousand of Merchantable Shingles which they shall deliver to the said Joseph Darby at the Shipping place on the said Island and for which they may produce a receipt from him and a Certificate from a sworn Surveyor at Halifax that such shingles are of a merchantable quality - but where any such shingles are of inferior quality the price to be according to their value in proportion to the price above mentioned. He also agrees that the said shingles when shipped at the said Island shall be at his risk until their arrival at Halifax.
