so soon as the damages received on her late voyage have been repaired.

These unexpected calls upon the resources of the Establishment, rendered necessary to preserve the lives of so many of our fellow creatures and in placing them, under their distressed circumstances, in comparative comfort, make it imperative upon us to ask you to place these facts before His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, in the hope that he will be pleased to place at our disposal a sum of money sufficient to meet the present exigency.
