Halifax 14th November 1845

Sir,

We have the honor to inform you that the sum of £400 Cy being the annual grant for the Establishment at Sable Island for the present year has not been received by us and we beg respectfully to ask that His Excellency the Lieut Governor will be pleased to grant us a warrant for the same.

The sum of £90 being due to the owners of the Schr "Sylph", lately employed in the service of the Protection of the Fisheries for one month longer than the usual time for the amount of which we are without funds ~ We beg further to ask the favour of His Excellency to grant us a warrant for the same in addition to the above.
