Fifth continued, put up on posts in different parts of the island, and about eight or ten hens enclosed in various fences, besides other repairs and improvements too numerous to mention, with no additional expence[sic] besides, nails, bricks, and lime, and although I have laid out some money for fitt[sic] and proper materials for building the boats, I have never received and remuneration for them nor any carts; which work [illegible] hand; to me as I have had to teach myself the art, and is no part of my duty;
Sixth Two families being added to the establishment in the course of this period has increased its expences[sic], in wages about one fourth and in provisions about one third, to meet which we have struggled here to raise the before mentioned provisions, and we have collected and expended about four hundred and twenty cords of wood; and made seven thousand copper nails for various boat services;
