I am unable to name the parties who robbed the West End house and the boats at my residence, but the robbers of the Ship Adonis were the crews of the Schooners Favourite and Skipjack of Liverpool, witnesses James Cox Jun.r, the owner of the "Milo" of Barrington, Winthrop Snow, the master and Elisha Perry one of the crew of the "Sarah" of Port Le Tour and Donald McKay and Alexander Perry of the "Abeona" of Cape Negro. The "Growlers" chain was taken by the crews of the "Favourite" and "Presto" of Liverpool, witnesses Silas Littlewood and David Greenwood of the "Abeona" of Cape Negro. And the robbers of the "Vampire" were the crew of a Le Have Schooner whose name has been blacked over since she came to the Island consequently I cannot give it. She is said to belong to a place called the "Five Houses", witnesses to this case of robbery Levi M McLean, Charles [McLoun? McLewis?], Charles Perry and [Manus?] Kean of the Orinoco of Halifax. These robberies were committed during the last week in August and the first week in September whilst myself and a majority of the Island men were engaged at the "Margaret Demon" on the North East bar.
